Autres fixations
What are these "other fixings" for?
When refitting a seat cover, refurbishing a door panel or installing a new cover, it's often the small details that make all the difference. Plastic profiles, beads, edgings and clips are discreet but essential to achieve a clean, lasting finish.
This category gathers the fixings that don't fall into the classic families (staples, glue...). You'll find here all the small hardware that helps you complete an upholstery job or properly secure a cover on its seat.
Our 1.2 m black plastic profile
The hero product of this category is our black plastic profile in 1.20 m lengths. It's a thin, flexible bead, particularly useful to:
– Insert into the seam of a cover to hold it in place on the seat (by acting as a wedge)
– Serve as a discreet finishing edge on cuts or joins
– Reproduce a factory detail on some classic models
Its flexibility lets it follow the seat's curves easily, and its black colour goes unnoticed in most configurations.
How to use it?
The profile slides into the groove built in by the manufacturer (or created when refitting the cover). For cuts, a simple utility knife or shears will do — it's an easy material to work with. Leave a bit of length spare; you'll trim to size at the end.
If you need additional material to finish off your upholstery job, have a look at our Hardware category covering staples, glues and other tools.
